Underclassmen: In this 1st edition of “underclassmen to watch” we highlight 4 athletes that have really made quite the impression through the end of summer, and into the fall. Each athlete is unique. One thing is for sure, these are guys you may want to circle and be aware of going into this upcoming spring season. I expect all to make big impacts. With that being said, let’s stop rambling and begin to show off these 4 studs. All videos are either from an individual’s account, through PBR, or PG.

1.) Brady Burns (25′) – IF – Eagleville HS

Outlook: I feel like Brady is almost the definition of underrated. He just does his job at a really high level, and talk about an impact bat. The dude was the heart and soul of our 2025 National lineup as he stayed in the top half of the lineup all season long. Hitting a clean .329 with 11 XBHs. He honestly is one of the best pure hitters we have in our program. There is a reason that he actually goes by “Brady Barrels.”

Positional Tools: Exit Velo 89.6 (2021 Fall) | 7.33 60 (2021 Fall)

2.) Coleman Neas (25′) – OF – Stewarts Creek HS

Outlook: New guy already making an impact on the field… Coleman is going to be a ton of fun to follow this upcoming Spring. The dude is a prototypical table-setting lead-off hitter, and it showed naturally when we stepped on the field for the 1st time this Fall in Fort Myers. He rose to the occasion on the biggest event of the Fall. I think it’s truly a testament to what this guy’s skillset brings to the table. He’s in the lab continuing to get stronger. He’s going to be a sight to see in a few months.

Positional Tools: Exit Velo 85.8 (2022 Fall) | 7.01 60 (2022 Fall)

3.) Cayden King (26′) – RHP/IF – Middle Tennessee Christian

Outlook: Cayden King we believe is not only going to be elite, we believe he is one of the best 2026s in the state. Yes, you heard what we said. Let us repeat ourselves, we believe Cayden not only is an elite player but is one of the best 2026s in the state. The left-handed hitting corner infielder is as clean as advertised with his approach. He barrels baseball consistently. Probably where he will have the most impact is what he can do on the mound. At tryouts, we had him up to 82 on the bump. On our Scout Day, he sat 78-80 and just got people out. Standing at 6’3 170 lbs, can’t wait to see what these next 3 months bring for him. Circle, circle, circle.

Positional Tools: Exit Velo 86 (2022 Fall) | IF Velo 78 (2022 Fall)

Pitching Tools: FB AVG 78-80 T 82 | 66-68 CB

4.) Riley Martin (27′) – RHP – Smith County

Outlook: Riley is probably busy running kick-offs back for TDs, or dunking on the basketball court, as the 2027 grad finished the end of summer baseball on a high note. Riley is currently ranked by Perfect Game as 53rd nationally and 3rd in the state. It probably helps that this dude has a big arm. Riley was up to 85 to end the summer with Junior Futures. Sitting 82-84 to go with a 72-73 mph CB. I think out of all of those things though, what makes him different is his want to compete. He’s going to back up what he can do. Expect big things from the rising 8th grader who is already making a name for himself.

Pitching Tools: FB AVG 82-84 T 85 | 72-73 CB

Catcher Position: is as hard as they come. It makes it so unique when you are able to hang on and grow with the catchers firsthand. Which is partially in our opinion these two individuals are some of the best at what they do. In today’s write-up, we are including each athlete’s video, numbers, and much more to highlight these young men. Let’s take a deeper dive into these 2 athletes that are game-changers for us. Video credited to the individual athlete, and PBR Staff.

1.) Bradley Pippin (24′) – C/RHP – Riverdale HS

Outlook: The two-time Futures Game rep continues to stay the course with everything he does. He just creates this trust that every team looks for in their catchers. It’s just an added bonus that not only is he as good as advertised but brings this contagious energy to the ballpark every time he steps on the field. He’s very mature and knows what he wants, and we cannot wait to see what he does this Spring for Riverdale.

Positional Tools: Pop Time – 1.94 – 2.20 | 81 mph C Velo | 85 mph OF/IF Velo | 93.6 Exit Velo

Pitching Tools: 87-88 FB Velo | 89.6 FB T | 72-76 CB Velo | 74-77 SL Velo <———–(2021 Fall)

Player Profile: C/RHP is labeled by PBR Tennessee as the 25th player ranked in state and 3rd at his position. Big arm, and shows at every position he plays. Did a great job controlling the run game for us last season. The big bat sparks inside the middle of our lineup. Always felt like when we needed a big hit he was able to step in and do so for us. One thing I think people maybe forget too if they see Bradley as a fit is his pitchability. Before he had to shut down from throwing, Bradley was 87-88 with the FB on the mound. Even hitting an 89.7 on the biggest stage at Futures as a rising sophomore. Just keep that in the back of your mind when evaluating, cause Bradley can do a little bit of everything.

2.) Baylor Osborne (25′) – C/OF – Mount Juliet HS

Outlook: A Junior Futures & Futures Game rep, Baylor provides a “sureness” that many teams would appreciate. In other words, you know when you step on the field that day & Baylor is behind the plate, so many outcomes are controlled. How pitchers are operating that day, the run game, and the complete management of a game. We can go on and on, but regardless just something that Baylor since he’s been with us has shown repeatedly. As coaches, we can appreciate the type of player Baylor is. It’s truly one of a kind. He stepped up as a 9th grader last season for Mount Juliet and hit leadoff. The dude can play.

Positional Tools: Pop Time – 1.92 – 2.03 | 72 mph C Velo | 7.2 60 Time | 89.5 Exit Velo

Player Profile: C/OF is labeled by PBR Tennessee as the 13th player ranked in state and 1st at his position. One of the best defensive catchers we have had inside our program. What makes him different is his ability to block and recover. His athleticism allows him to really move well left & right when it comes to blocking. His catch & throw is also another + as this guy threw out 12 guys last season in 31 attempts which is about 40% of runners thrown out. He’s also a left-hand-hitting catcher. He has a good idea of the zone at the plate which allows him to be an OBP machine!

This Fall: presented us with a unique opportunity to see the growth and hard work our athletes have continued to put in. Not only was that on display, but we had several uncommitted guys hit new PR’s on the mound this Fall season. In today’s write-up, we are including each athlete’s video, numbers, and much more to highlight these young men. Let’s take a deeper dive into these 5 athletes that hit big numbers this Fall with us. Video credited to the individual athlete, PBR Staff, and PG Staff.

1.) Cannon Rice (23′) – RHP – Rossview HS – Austin Peay Commit

Outlook: Hit a new personal best 92 mph FB down in Jupiter, FL. The dude was lights out for us all Fall. Was as consistent as they come, and it showed with each performance when he stepped on the bump. Recent Austin Peay commit.

2.) Aidan Niggl (25′) – RHP – Mount Juliet HS

Outlook: A great example of what hard work can do for you. The dude just went to the lab with WardPerformance and came out with this new refound energy. It showed in his outing at Futures at the end of summer and then translated into Fall. Which allowed the young 2025 who isn’t even 16 years old yet to touch his first 90 on the bump in Fort Myers. Going to be scary what comes out this winter.

3.) Gavin King (24′) – RHP – Liberty Creek HS – South Carolina Commit

Outlook: The 6’5 specimen had himself quite the coming out party this Fall. He showed a small sprinkle of what he can do with the natural strength he has. Up to 89 on the bump. We believe he has even more in the tank. He’s going to be a fun one to follow. Recent South Carolina commit.

4.) Chase Clatur (24′) – RHP – Nolensville HS

Outlook: One of the most efficient pitchers all last summer for us. The dude is a strike-throwing machine who carried an era of 0.53 in 41 IPs of work. He was a big reason for the success of our 2024 National group, and he just turned 16. He is an extremely young 2024 that is picking up some big momentum as he topped out at a clean 88 on the bump in the PBR Upperclass WS. He’s legit.

5.) Chase Fernandez (25′) – RHP – Stewarts Creek HS

Outlook: Another 25′ name we continue to talk about a lot in big Chase. The dude has some serious arm strength and has shown on the summer circuit. When he is on he is one of the toughest dudes to face. Not a bad way to finish the Fall either with some multiple 87s on the Lakepoint scoreboard. He will be a fun one to follow through this winter!

Congratulations to Alexander Peck on his commitment to Arkansas! Could not be more excited for him and his family. Hard work is literally in this kid’s genes, and it continues to show. He just wants to be the best, and that’s a characteristic that is going to continue to make him special not just as a player, but as a person as he gets older. Again welcome us in congratulating Alexander and his family!

The man, the myth, the legend, congratulations to Aaron Moffitt and his commitment to Tennesee Tech University! This was a long one in the making, and we couldn’t be happier for Aaron & his family on his latest commitment. The sky is literally the limit for him, and we cannot wait to watch everything unfold.
