5 Star Midsouth Athletes Shine at Prep Baseball Tennessee Top Prospect Games

This past week, several athletes from 5 Star Midsouth took the field at the Prep Baseball Tennessee Top Prospect Games and once again proved why the future of baseball in the MidSouth continues to trend upward.

With players from the 2028 and 2029 classes represented, the event provided an opportunity for some of the top young talent in the state to compete, showcase tools, and post measurable numbers in front of the Prep Baseball staff. And as expected, the 5 Star Midsouth crew showed up in a big way.

Leading the way offensively was 2028 prospect Tyler Reynolds, who posted an impressive 101 MPH Max Exit Velocity while also recording an 82 MPH infield velocity and a 366-foot max distance during batting practice. One of the biggest eye-opening numbers from the event came from Andrew Perry, who recorded a blazing 6.55 laser 60-yard dash. Perry also added a 93 MPH Max Exit Velocity and a 353-foot max distance, continuing to showcase elite athletic upside.

On the mound, Ty Fleenor delivered one of the top velocity performances among the 5 Star group, reaching 87 MPH while sitting in the 83.4-87 MPH range. Fleenor also showed feel for a sharp slider in the 75.2-78.6 MPH range.

The numbers posted throughout the event continue to showcase the talent, athleticism, and work being put in across the 5 Star Midsouth program. From athletic testing to offensive production and pitching metrics, the future remains bright for this group as they continue their summer showcase circuit.
